Under door tool for handles

I think the lever works,(I made it from the post here, thanks!) the one for panic bars works, the one for the KiK with the leather or canvise end to grab the handle. Anyone seen it? How could it work on regular KIK locks. Some commercial knobs, will turn if the inside thumbturn is right, most res knobs have to be unlocked to turn the knob . My question is does this thing work?

Re: Under door tool for handles

Should work fine on push-buttons style. It won't work on cheap turn-snib styles.

Most decent turn-snib styles have escape functions on the inside, even if the snib is locked. Just turn the handle and it opens.

I've seen the demo vid and it apparently works very well.

Re: Under door tool for handles

The inside knob on most KIK sets can be turned to open withouts fiddling with the button. The mfgs. design the sets this way to satisfy legal requirements for
"single action" release. A rubber "grip-strip" on the tool is usually enough to grasp and rotate the knob.

I have made one from 2 metal coat hangers twisted and duct-taped together. It works, just takes some time to get it on the hook right.

Re: Under door tool for handles

Watched this (from blackbag) video about a week and ago and ended up having to travel and spend the night in a hotel for the last several nights. I totally did the towel thing. :)
