Asprey of London vintage jewelry box

I am just a regular guy looking for some help. Not a locksmith or lock picker but have a interest. In the mean time my brother managed to lock a 3 knob lock on a very old jewelry box. Each dial has 14 numbers on it. I am going to try and find the loose digit and see if that works once I get it to work on. Has anyone have experienced with a lock like this? Both my parents are deceased and we cannot find any information on a combination.

We shouldn't really be advising on this especially on an open forum and instead would reccomend you call a local locksmith.

That said, it wouldn't harm to ask you whether putting some opening force on the case makes any of the wheels stiffer to rotate?

Where in the world do you live?
