Master combo lock

jan 27 008.JPG

No fancy tools needed here.
Started out by drilling one hole on back so I could see the wheels to remove lock.
Then another hole near the shackle to see why I couldn't shim it open.
Oh well, 10 minutes later.

I now have the low-tech master combo Drill-away.

Have to admit, you can see what is happening inside! You can try adding to this thread by taking close up pictures of the wheels in alignment when the combination is entered, the shackle retaining system, etcetera.

Didn't know the Swiss made a combo lock as well as cheese...

Re: Master combo lock

Made something akin to this when I was really bored some time ago. My approach was a little more..surgical.

All it takes is a hole in the back about 1/8" away from the left shackle and about 3/4" down. I pried the back off to see where it would be.

Re: Master combo lock

yes, mine started that way as well, used 3/16 same location. I was going to just put a sticker over the hole and reuse the lock.
Figured someone would be wise to this trick.
Then things got out of hand.

Speaking of things getting out of hand, you just reminded me of the six square feet of mixed gauge stainless I bought last year to make some tools. No idea how that is ever gonna get used up. That is the way it goes. Start with one and wonder when you are done.

Re: Master combo lock

not sure but the Swiss might not want to be involved with what happened to the lock.
