Here's a cutaway that's getting ready to be shipped to jeffmoss26.


Just need to take some sandpaper to it first.
The plug on this one was REALLY tough to cut. Not sure why. It seemed to be a stronger alloy.

Trying something a bit different today. Cutting a Schlage Everest Primus cylinder. So far I've only cut the plug to show the finger-pins:

This will be my first high-security cutaway once it's done.

Awesome locks, I'm totally jealous. I've tried a couple so far but with just a dremel and some cheap files I have nothing I'm even willing to take a picture of so far.

On a somewhat related note, does anybody know if it is possible to make a cutaway of a stacked plate style body padlock? I have one right now that is pretty useless as the plug is too tight to get any kind of rotation on with a tension wrench and I was thinking about opening it up and trying to do a cutaway. I'm hoping that if I leave enough rivets it won't fall apart on me. Any insight on this?

Hmmm, I can't see how you could do it without damaging something since you can't take the plug out first. however, I've been wrong before. LOL. just my two cents.

You're absolutely right, I'm thinking now I could pop the rivets out and replace them with screws. Also I'm thinking that this padlock was like 7 bucks and has done nothing but annoy me since I got it. Probably not worth the time and trouble.

Here is something I was working on before my endmills all snapped (more should be arriving Tuesday). It's a 5-pin Medeco cylinder. As you can see it isn't in the finished state yet, but once I get more supplies I look forward to trying to make the final cuts. I'm still debating on how best to cut the plug. Once it's done I plan on polishing it up.
