This is just speculation on my part, I'd love to be proven wrong because it would be neat to watch. However, from other materials I've seen subjected to similar treatment I suspect a well delivered sharp strike to a lock after immersion in liquid nitrogen for a little while might fracture a key component and cause it to open. But shatter? I'm just highly skeptical that would happen.

but right now I got some new assa twin scandinavian ovals for dirt cheap that have a long pin down the front parallel offset to the pin chambers. Here is a factory cutaway of a mortice showing the type of anti drill pin.
