Just received a 2,5 mm slotter/cutter (I think the SG18, I'd have to go grab it and look again if you need me to be positive about the number) for the Silca machine Wizer listed. This is the cutter for Abloy Classic and Profile keys.

Surprise, surprise. It fits perfectly on my Blitz. The cutter diameter is larger than the standard Blitz cutter, but if I make a proper adapter for the Blitz, then I will be able to cut Abloy Classic and Profile keys on my Blitz without having to buy a whole new machine.

Great find GW on the SG18 cutter it's a affordable price on AliExpress also I see today For classic .
Plus it will fit the framon also for bore size if going down that route ..hpc blitz adaptor sounds great.

Awesome and really it's a good cutting blade for the job as it's a side miller cutter and Not just a slotter it as the added cutting
Capabilities IE , side by side cuts at same depth can be Made Using this blade
with a simple sideways movement from the hpc or framon machine several cuts at same depth of angle could be made in one
Pass.

Originally for Silca delta machines. "Side Milling Cutter Sg18, Sg18w(64.6x2.4x9.53)for Silca Delta 2000 Fs &silca Delta 2000 Japan Key Cutting Machine Locksmith Tool - Locksmith Supplies - AliExpress" https://m.aliexpress.com/item/400030358 ... t=Pc2Msite

Happy new year folks

Been looking for a Chubb Ava cutter also at 1.8 mm and found it
So will be ordering a few cutters this year To try out a couple of projects I've been putting off
Also a 80 X 2.0 X 22 for... Abloy high profile keys which fits the CEA multi and my Silca lancer plus.

I will be looking at the Abus locks this year Abus plus X and granit ..all the good stuff :D

Hopefully 2023 I can get them done

That slot Cutter SG13W l@@ks back in stock on AliExpress after browsing this morning
"Flat Slotter D712450zb(sg13w)64.6x2.0x9.53mm For Silca Unocode/ Unocode 299/unocode 399/unocode 399 Evo Key Cutting Machine - Locksmith Supplies - AliExpress" https://m.aliexpress.com/i/100500375814 ... t=Pc2Msite

And a surprise the slot cutter for the Chubb Ava
"Flat Slotter SG17(64.6x1.8x9.53x70T)Saw Blade for SILCA DELTA MULTICOPY Key Cutting Machine Locksmith Tools _ - AliExpress Mobile" https://m.aliexpress.com/item/4000558802053.htm

Update :
Its important to note the size difference in cutting blades as they are different
IE the Older framon blade is 4.0 mm smaller than the new 64.6mm stated and actual size
I found this out when trying to fit these new blades to the framon ..they do not fit ..As there a few mil too big :akimbo:

So a slight modification is needed to fit .. The new oversized blades to framon 2 machines .

To start mod :

I removed the protective cutter gaurd and old cutting blade fitted and the screw in rod .. or lollypop type handle
Fitted At back Of cutter... so nothing would be damaged .. And to get tool in safely without it snagging on anything.

So I made this modification With a grinding Tool or cut off blade ..you need to remove approximately 2mm depth

off back Wall or the plate ... :???: To give you that extra bit of width needed for fitting blades.

The job was successful and new oversized blades fit and work on machine
Happy with this mod  And you really would never know it's been modified

But the result is you've now got a better machine with more scope when it comes to fitting new cutting blades in future .
The hpc blitz is fine with this size of new blade after checking so no mods needed...

Good job, looks very nice! :camera:
Are blanks available? I know Silca makes Exec.
Is the screw in the key cradle for adjusting the depth?
I hope you get a lot of use for your adaptor.

It was a great project I had very little information at the start
And was always at the back of my mind .. I enjoyed learning and taking
The abloy locks apart to see how they function which is something else.

The framon as its own carriage that as its own hand crank dial to adjust depth of cut and spacings dial crank also.
Down to thousands of a inch making it a great code machine for this job a iconic USA code machine
With spot on pin point accuracy .

The screw at rear is for other keys that the adaptor may be able to do as there are many disc locks out there.
if i need a angle of 15 Degrees or Any degree I will lock it Off at via that screw
then it will do different types of key also... so a added extra .

The keys can be found here and it's a very good price

https://www.canas-bg.com/en/index.php?pg=home

Registration is required and it's Bulgarian ..the keys are stamped Cana's and you will have seen them
As they where available on Amazon..but not any longer I found.
Sure it will come in handy even for other types of keys and cost including cutting blade was
minimal and worth ever penny.
