Master LOTO core in a Master 6230 padlock?

I've got an Abus 72/40 LOTO padlock and a round body Master Pro series here that use the same basic core with the only difference being the orientation of the actuator thing on the back. One is horizontal and one is vertical.

Is it possible to get that Abus core to work with the Master padlock? Can I change the orientation of the receiver piece in the lock itself so it will accept the other core?

Thanks.

Re: Abus core in a Master padlock?

So it won't work. An 1100 series core won't work in a Master 6230. The tailpiece and actuator don't match. One is vertical and one is horizontal.

However, it appears that the core from Master's 410 LOTO locks will work. I've yet to bust open my LOTO to check, but both use the same orientation of the actuator. One is just a little bit bigger than the other. Not as much material was machined away.

Anybody tried this? Thanks.
