Saint Fire "Corkscrew Key Lock" (Pics +Video)

Here's an awesome and very unique Lock I found recently.

It has a corkscrew key that threads into the keyway and interacts with 4-pins. I love the design~ the keys look and feel so great!

Not sure of the age, but it is definitely not in production anymore.

Have you guys ever seen a lock like this!?

Nothing to see here. Just another key retaining lock.

Hold the screws keys and pass the lock around to KP's expert impressionist. We'll see if they could make a working key. Their prize; bragging rights.

That looks very similar to a Baton padlock with the same mechanism. Let me know if you get any more.

This is an interesting concept. In machining it would be possible to put an Inner Diameter and Outer Diameter thread (including dimples, of course) on a key like this and make it even tougher!

Re: Saint Fire "Corkscrew Key Lock" (Pics +Video)

Do you have any more information on the lock. From what I can see the patent # 14743 is on the lock but I can't find a match. I'm suspecting it is an Asain patent # and having difficulty searching.
