Not seen this style before , and am assuming it can be fitted to a sliding door , funky bolt indeed !

So this is what has been keeping you busy the last 2 weeks huh?

Very interesting bolt design. Do they lock open like that or are they just spring action?

Those were fitted to several sliding doors at my primary school. The offset segments of the bolt are locked in that position, not sprung.

Hey Riy' , they actually lock in the splayed out position , so would be ideal to hook into a slender keep , guy i work with was cleaning out his shed , and thought of me
safe to say i was pleased , the lock is brand new too !

Would make it hard to lift out a patio type door.

While designed (and intended) for sliding doors locks like this and the Chubb 3M50 etc can be fitted to standard hinged doors, whereby they will make life very difficult indeed to anyone trying to effect a forced entry though said door !

This is just plain awesome. I wish I would see more of these locks in America.
