Canada Post 'crown lock'

I recently had a chance to see the internals of these Crown Locks. You can find them at any building where there is a shared mail box. They are also found outside of many buildings where Canada Post employees need to be able to enter. They are connected to the strike and using their key they are granted access into the building.
Nothing too special, just figured I'd share.

I've never seen one of these, least not that I can remember.
Do you have a picture of it in use?
I'm confused. :???:
I have a lever lock on a old desk that I'd like to pick, tried a couple time but unsuccessful.
So it was a treat to see the inside.
Thanks

It's a Canadian thing, eh.
I'll snap a picture next time I see one in use.

Here is an example of its placement. A small apartment building with a eternal mailbox. Canada post has no key for the front door, so they use the crown lock for entry.
