I just saved two and a half of these type locksets from a slavage/scrap yard.

Those Schlage G locks are workhorses. I used to have a condo HOA client that had me maintaining a whole building full of them. The only part that ever seemed to crap out was the bolt/latch assembly. Unfortunately, it's a combined unit and trying to build one out of a separate Schlage bolt and latch is more labor than most clients want to pay for. Ended up replacing a lot of them with a boring old cylindrical knob lock in an ugly wraparound, with a separate deadbolt higher up.
