Mul-t-Lock I/C

I had to key up several of these Mul-t-lock removable cores today so I thought I would share. These cores use the Schlage large format I/C. They are still the normal interactive+™ and can be master keyed and use the side pins. The principle is the same, there is a tit at the end of the control key that lifts a pin that engages the control pin and allows the core to be inserted or removed.

Cool! There is a store nearby that uses these. My son spotted it and pointed it out to my wife, who, of course, rolled her eyes while saying something about him being my son. Always wanted to get one of those.

I bet that would be Roadrunner Locksmith
Re: Mul-t-Lock I/C
Roadrunner is the only MTL distributor here in Tucson, but was referring to a dollar store type of place. It is called "Tuesday Morning".
Have not found Roadrunner to be all that 'friendly'. I wanted to buy a MTL to play with, but was told that they would only sell it if I had them install it, and they had to know which door, etcetera. They would not sell me a MTL over the counter without them installing it.
Figure I'll just wait and get one from a forum member with one for sale, preferably used, when one is available.

i have one of these. if you take out the blocking plate behind the end screw cap, you can use an operating key as a control key if u push the key in just a nudge.
