Re: Name this lock

I wasn't going to chime in on this post because I thought somebody would know exactly what it was. American lock makes these locks, that have a rainbow type finish to them, or to some people they look like a grade 8 bolt material. I will try to find exactly what line they are.

Re: Name this lock

It's called Zinc Chromate, I don't know if that lock in the picture is an American Lock or not, but American lock does make these and I believe the same as what you see in the picture. http://www.americanlock.com/government_padlocks/government_solid_steel_rectangular_padlocks.jsp

Re: Name this lock

Thanks for the replies! I thought that maybe it is an American lock...but this lock seems to have more of an oval shaped body...looks more like an Abus to me:

Re: Name this lock

Very well could be an Abus, I also examined the picture a little bit more and it also could be a WB lock, the shape and keyway postion look very similar. More I look at it, doesn't seem to be an American at all!

Re: Name this lock

It was taken in Central/Northern Italy...which would lead me to believe that it is European made, but not necessarily.
