I didn't know stainless was so much more difficult to work with. It's beautiful!

I'm now able to offer my CHAMPION decoder tool in all stainless steel. I just machined this one today using a much faster technique to create the channel. However, because this tool is machined from raw materials, it takes longer to make (about 3 hours).

Be the first to own one for only $69.00 plus $5.00 shipping (greater continental U.S.A.). Similar tools cost a lot more made from poorer materials and tolerances. This tool will no longer be offered after April 16th (I'll be taking it to the Los Angeles meetup). I don't have much free time these days to make tools on demand.

Wow the tool is looks spectacular. To some metal is metal and all the same and I am by faaaaar nowhere near to even be called knowledge in metals but wow the stainless just screws out. Great work.

So, I finished a prototype (stainless steel) of my latest CHAMPION decoder tool. This design enables a key blank to be shouldered to factory depth and keeps the key square. The intent is push the decoder into an open lock and stop on edge with end of the channel once the deepest pin(s) is revealed. This design takes out the guess work on blank length (from shoulder to tip). Yes, this would imply that the key shown in the picture was cut too short.
