Model A steering wheel lock

Last October I was given the task of generating a key for a Model A, after-market steering wheel lock. It only had to be completed before spring. After researching the steering wheel and getting the correct blank (thanks for the info Jeff), I have completed the task. Yes, I could have impressioned a key but I chose not to. I gutted the lock and I'm glad I did. The cylinder and all related parts were filthy. I suppose that after 80+ years without service it should have been expected. I soaked the cylinder and rest of the parts in cider vinegar for one week. Wiped all parts and reassembled after I cut a key with my Heller file. I did use graphite. The 2nd key was cut on my key machine. Both keys work smoothly.

I did shave off the length of the key by 1/16" so the key would bottom out to the shoulder.
