Old Eagle Padlock - Need help disassembling

It has a screw that comes out under the shackle. It's key retaining so I thought if I picked it open I could turn the core closed and the bottom plate would come off. I was wrong. I'm thinking I have to pry the bottom plate off.

Put the screw in a few threads and then hit the handle of your screwdriver. The plate is usually a tight fit and needs a bit of persuasion to move. Or it might possibly be screwed in on both sides.
