Need help identifying this old lock

Hi,
I am new to this forum, and have been lurking for a few months now and getting a lot of good info.
I have had an interest in locks for some time and have amassed quite a few old and newer ones including an Empire 6 lever pancake lock with no key, a couple of Yale 805F with keys and one with no key that I have picked, an assortment of master locks, and American No 40, plus many others.
I have also made about a dozen picks and a number of torsion wrenches and am working on becoming more efficient at picking but need a lot more practice.
I asked a few friends if they have any old locks lying around that I could have and one that turned up looks quite interesting to me. I have tried to find out something about it, it is British made and has registration number that places it at about 1932 There is also another number just below this but no manufacturer’s name. I’m hoping that someone here can shed more light on this lock. I am going to try to add photos.

Anything around 100K seems to fit OK.

Say 75K to 120K and you'll be fine.

Still no ideas on the lock.

Maybe they are ALL stumped.????

Looks like the same lock but mine has British Registration Number stamped on the back and another British number underneath not sure if its patent number or what.
So I would think that it is British Made.
Correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption.

BTW I don't have a key for mine so how would I go about opening the lock without damaging it?

I'd pick it lol

If you're not sure about how to pick lever locks, that sometimes is not that difficult, you could try impressioning a key. Gordon wrote a great guide explaining how to do that.

Where would I get a key blank for this lock if I decide to try to impression a key?

I'd file a groove on the side of a flat piece of brass. Impression it.
You can always transfer the bittings on the proper blank if you find it.

Does anyone here have any idea as to what the second number on the back of the lock refers?
Could it be a patent number iris it something else?
