12 pins in a dual in-line arrangement (6 each line), as well as 2 sidebars. In addition, the NG has a movable element in the key.
Without the moving element on even a key with the correct bitting, you're stuffed. As the larger element hits the keyway, it rocks to engage the smaller part of the element with 2 small pins at the front of the keyway to unblock the side bar.
