I have a lock that is very similar in that you turn the key, pull it out, then continue turning to pull the shackle. it's a Braun German diskus type lock. very cool.

Can we get a picture?

LOL, sure how about a bunch of pictures? LOCK PORN!!!! :armed:

here is the lock in the locked position with one side of the key

here is the other side of the key
IMG_2549.JPG

first you turn the dial clockwise, to open the keyhole
IMG_2550.JPG

insert the key and turn clockwise as far as it will go
IMG_2554.JPG

then pull the key out and continue to turn clockwise (notice the line on the key is further out now than it was)

and that pulls your shackle. it is not key retaining, so you need to turn the knob counterclockwise to relock (with or without the key). These are fairly rare, and I only have this one due to the generosity of Riy! (gotta give props when due) LOL

Oh, man! Now I gotta get some tissues to clean off my screen, KM.

Great lock porn!

Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.
