What is This Tool?

Got a strange tool in the mail today. I have no idea what it is. Anyone have any thoughts?

I'd guess it's a clipper for code cutting keys in the field for the old Schlage wafer locks. You don't really see these locks around much anymore, but they're interesting.

I would have to agree with MBI on that one, looks similar to the clipper the locksmith I was working with had sitting in his shop.

interesting. I've never seen a Schlage wafer lock.... this tool is obsolete now'adays i guess.

If you ran into an old Schlage wafer lock and decided to work on it, then that is a very handy tool to have. ..But since those locks haven't been made in a long time, are mostly worn out, and need/should be replaced. It's pretty much obsolete.
