To prevent that work needs to be duplicated here a link to the thread in the Lock Picking 101 forum: https://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopi ... 46&t=65638

Re: Carbide burrs

all my carbide burrs were inherited and are over 20 years old with no marking of any kind on them of any kind. I use them in my machine shop.
I also have a cheap set from eBay (from China) and they work well enough that they stay in my toolbox for when I need to mod a door in the field.

You originally asked about burrs 6 months ago in October 2019 on lp101, and still asking about it? I think it's time to pick something and make a decision.

If you want to spent lots of money buy a $300 set from Ingersoll Rand, Dynabrade, or SGS like this https://www.mscdirect.com/browse/tnpla/05289780

or you can just buy a YUFUTOL brand set on Amazon for $50 dollars https://www.amazon.com/YUFUTOL-Carbide- ... B01N1YAX4Z and be done.

Didn't you already buy a Grobet set on ebay in October? did it break or did you not receive them? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Grobet-USA-1-4 ... 3683123558

Re: Carbide burrs

Are these mostly used for opening up/adjusting strikes? Or are there other common uses for these in locksmithing?

Re: Carbide burrs

what are you planning to use them for? the application you need them for might help give a clue as to which are best for you.

Re: Carbide burrs

I use them sometimes for adjusting the size of the hole that the latch goes onto in steel door frames, fine tuning holes drilled in steel doors when I'm installing combination or lever safe locks, among other uses.
