Useful Blog for Common Problems... and more

Came across this locksmith's blog quite some time ago and meant to post it.
http://www.gaterslocksmith.com/blog/201 ... -not-open/
Just click 'next' in the top right of the page for article after article.

He touches on a lot of the common problems that home owners run into...
"my key turns around but doesn't unlock", "I cannot remove my key", etc.
Best of all... lots of pictures. And explanations are kept in laymen's terms.

He talks of the importance of the strike plate, referring to it as the "forgetten
half of the deadbolt". How true. Also touches (very briefly) on safe manipulation.
And later, showcases many of his beautiful installation jobs.

All in all, a very useful web site for the laymen, locksmith, or hobbyist.
Maybe you're a hobbyist like me just wanting to be more useful to friends and family.
Maybe a locksmith looking for better wording to explain things to your customers.
Or maybe you're a home owner that came here looking for answers.
" Enjoy the journey AS MUCH as the destination."
