Starting a Skyrim thread here, for anyone that wants to talk Skyrim or discuss strategies or bullshit around.
I'm a level 20 High Elf. I have a house in Whiterun, but im not playing xbox live, just by myself.

does anyone know if i join Live, that my character will remain the same and what is different between live play and my casual play. ive never played online with anything ever before. ive only seen friends play WOW 3 years ago.

Wish you could do multiplayer, that is one of the biggest complaints about Bethesdas games.

Skyrim is awesome. Unfortunately it is not a multiplayer game. If you do connect to the internet while playing it you will be able to download some updates to fix bug issues though.

I should really blow the dust off and play it lol.

Edit: There was an Alpha build of a multiplayer mod for the PC version but I have not heard anything about it in some time.

Can tell you right now there won't be a cross-platform version either. Microsoft tried it back with Halo years ago and the results were pretty clear. The absolute worst PC players were just stomping the best console players. Mouse and keyboard just give way too much of an advantage. Some companies still try to make it work, I think Sony is doing it with DCUO and you see how well that's doing. It went FTP awhile ago despite being a decent game. I doubt you will see much cross-platform gaming until some drastic changes to console tech happens. DCUO only sort of works because the targeting and combo system are overly simple. It may happen with some MMO's before long, but FPS's don't have a chance in my opinion.

I know that isn't what you were saying Riy, just saw that as a good statement to jump in there with.

I put 150 hours into Skyrim. Ask me anything. I suggest maxing out enchanting if you want really overpowered gear.

yes, heres a question, where the hell do i find how many hours ive played lol, on my xbox for skyrim, i cant find dick! lol, ok, ill just google it.

and yes, they did fix the enchanting and the blacksmith glitches, but you can still grow quickly with enchanting, every time you disenchant an item, you can a point. ive disenchanted almost everything i own, and then re enchanted all my gear. im weak still, just a level 28 now, but i have a decent enchanting level.

I have 80 hours in now, im a level 32, i have beaten Alduin, now all i care about is getting my damn daedric armor. im so pissed there is no way to get it before level 50 with the new patch, without spending 30,000+ gold just to get you half way there.
