Been collecting old pis for about three years. I keep a bucket under my bench, and most pins get dumped in it.

Had to bring them to the scrap yard so I could get the best game I have played. Fallout New Vegas !!

This game is great, and it was worth trading my pins for it, even had change left over.

I have fallout new vegas and yes it is awesome. there will always be more pins for people to collect though

You should see the buckets of old keys they have in the lockshop here at the school...lots of scrap, lol

I really hated to get rid of them, but I'm in the poor house . I really wanted that game and didn't have the money. You should have seen me on the floor looking for lost pins, I even liked the canisters that they were in so I kept them, and will start another collection.

I got $ 1.65 per pound, but got $ 1.92 for keys a few weeks ago. The prices must go up and down for some reason. I also told them they were brass, but they were mostly nickle silver. Probably would have got more, but didn't know if they would take them. Iv'e been doing it with key blanks for 4 years, and alway's got enough cash for a camping trip.

Please understand I do NOT want to throw a wet blanket on your enthusiasm.
I can see you're excited to get into locksmithing, you have a lot of energy and that can really be put to excellent use, both here and on the job.

When it comes to bumping threads, as a general guideline if the thread hasn't been touched in maybe 4-6 months just pause before posting and ask yourself this:

-Does my comment add any substantive new content to the discussion?

-Do I have a followup question that relates to the thread that would be good to post here rather than starting a new thread and clutter the forum with a million threads on the same subject?

If you answer yes to either one, then post away, no matter how old the thread is!
