Badboy Dimple lock

I got this dimple of ebay from another lock picker who said this was one of the only locks that had defeated him.

Just got a lovely new set of dimple picks from uklockpicker and have been playing with this all day but have got no where so far.

It appears to have 6 pins on one side and 2 on the other.

I'm not sure of the make, it says "Thomas Laidlaw" on the key, but the guy who sold it to me thought it might be an ASSA

Any tips on picking this would be greatly appreciated.

I love it. I have a real fetish for dimple locks. Contact me if you ever want to part with it. Can't want to see it crumble under the picking power of the DOPUG!!!! :akimbo:

They are probably active. I have picked a Tesa T80 which also has those two active pins on the upper side: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTYk00jmAkI Try to pick those first and then the other ones. It might work.

Lol's, thanks for the vote of confidence bro, I'm definitely getting this one on film once I work out how to pick it.

Kokomo & Imscatten, what does passive and active pins mean, and how will that affect picking this lock?

LSA gives a pretty good explanation of a passive pin here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ko8-HzS ... ture=feedu

I had to find out too for myself.
