Cisa RS3

Ok so this little beauty turned up on my doorstep this morning. A fierce looking lock inside the keway so will hoefully be able to have a play later on in the vice.

Very cool looking lock. Is that an interactive element in the tip of the key?

It is. Seems that when the key is inserted one spring is stronger than the other on opposite sides, therefore it swivels on a pivet system left to right. So the stronger spring pushes and the other spring allowing them to be set. seems weird that it works in this way .....i would have thought that the spring could lose its compression factor over a while!!! Had a little prod around with my pick and not a lot of feedback going on similar to the kaba 20 inside.

It seems to be the same as the Abus EP10.
So far I haven't seen or heard of that someone has picked one of those.
I am looking forward to it

Re: Cisa RS3

@omegared: Have you ever tried turning the plug 360° after picking it? Does it get stuck then like it it might happen with those Keso cylinders? I have the EP10 and one day I might be able to pick it and I am not sure if I can turn the plug then.
Cheers

Re: Cisa RS3

Thank you for the information.
I am sorry that yours is damaged/blocked.
Did pins get stuck?
Maybe you can make it work again.
Good luck!

Re: Cisa RS3

You can turn the plug at 360° but you must fill the low groove of the plug to avoid that the bottom pin fall...

Sorry for my english...

Patent is shared between several brands :

Abus EP10, Bricard Chifral and Cisa RS3 are the same system... :D
