Yale K22 time lock demonstration

So due to all the confusion lately as to how a time lock actually works I made this video. This is the "BASIC" way most modern time locks work, just a little differently. My modern S&G lock has a hole straight through the case and the blocking part right in the middle. There were a lot of different mechanisms before things became standardized.

Normally there is a bar of some type attached to the handle/boltwork that will be lined up with the hole in the time lock. On the left had side of this one there is a hole in the time lock case. When the time lock is wound there is a bar that comes up and blocks this hole. This prevents the bar on the boltwork from entering and will not allow the safe to open. As the timelock winds down pins in the dial push a bar on the front which moves a bar with a pin on the back that moves the bar that blocks the hole.

Great video and explanation, Riy. How about a real-time video of the full 72 hour countdown? :P

Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.

Lol, No thanks, I don't think my internet would be very happy with me if I would do such a thing. :P
