Got a free safe today! Pics!

Acquired this from a friend, whose uncle owned it. I currently do not know how it was originally acquired. I believe it is A Herring Hall Marvin Co. safe. I assume it uses a yale gravity fence lock?
Found inside the safe:

Safe sans door.

Interior:

Current lock on inner keyed door. I assume someone lost the key for the old one, as there are 4 tapped blind holes on back for a lock to be mounted.

Door and safe.

Back of safe.

Dial mount on door. The bottom 2 holes do not go all the way thru, and are tapped. The top does not go all the way thru and is not tapped.

Back of door.

Inside of door, lock area.

"49" stamped on top right hand corner of front of safe.

Re: Got a free safe today! Pics!

It was probably a direct drive fence when it was new. I know it didn't come with the S&G dial. Unfortunately it's missing a lot of original parts. :(

Edit: I'm not sure it's a Herring Hall Marvin. The paint looks decent from the front, and if the paint is original and in decent shape. It would most likely have "Herring Hall Marvin" in big letters on the front. Could've been a Yale with a gravity fence. :???:

Free safe - best kind to find! You gonna impression keys for the lever locks inside?

Gordon
Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.

Impressioning will not be necessary, as I can open the lock bodies up.

From the door design it looks like it may be a Halls Safe Co. safe. Anyone here have any info on these safes?
