Unfortunately no. I've heard someone do manipulate them, but I never put in the effort needed to try.

Got my 8400 and cleaned it up. I don't see a way to manipulate it with the back cover on keeping the cam when open from turning into the contact area. As others have said maybe sound when the fence contacts the wheels at 0 but that would take a huge amount of manipulation time if it did work. Something for me to stew on every once and awhile.
