So you want to manipulate a safe?

I would like to announce the start of a new "pass around" for members of KP. I have started, on it's maiden journey, a safe lock manipulation course. Along with the course is a mounted S&G safe lock (and change key) to practice your new skill on while you learn. To receive this set of materials you must follow some simple rules.

1. Your name CAN NOT be on the "Bad Trader" list for this site or have negative feedback on trades. You must have at least some positive feedback and be established on the forum for a minimum 6-12 months, at the discretion of the owner of the kit and the moderator who is managing the list.

2. You must remain active on the forum to remain on the list.

3. You cannot be on the list if you have any felony, B&E, fraud, or theft types of criminal convictions.

4. You agree not to keep the materials for a long period of time. Three weeks should be enough time to absorb this course. Do not ask for it if you can't dedicate some time to it.

5. You will be responsible for postage to the next student. The last guy was kind enough to pay for postage to you! Due to international shipping costs, at least for now the kit will remain in the USA.

6. This post will act as a tracking vehicle for the course. The person sending it on should post that it is on the way, the recipient should post when they receive it.

7. I started the package with a few extra items for the first recipient, as my gift to him, the continuation of this will be considered madatory. You're getting a free lesson, give a little back.

I have never done anything like this, if one of the administrators have additions or recommendations, please feel free to add them.

Also, I am well versed in the workings of safe locks. If you need some help, give me a shout. If the lock malfunctions, or needs repaired, I should be next on the list. I will repair it and put it back in circulation.

I am on this site as Mastersmith. Normally I check in fairly regularly, if it becomes necessary I will post my email address here also.

Good luck to all that participate! The first user is Mr. Sour ( you are now on the clock!)

Re: So you want to manipulate a safe?

Mastersmith, this is SO VERY GENEROUS.... and has got to be one of the coolest ideas for a pass-along I've seen yet!
I've always been intrigued by manipulation, and this will be a wonderful way to get a little taste of it.
I'll certainly be tryn' to find a spot somewhere along this pass-along.

A BIG thank you for not only sending the materials around... but offering your time & experience to anyone with questions!!

Re: So you want to manipulate a safe?

Thank you very much! That's a skill I've always wanted to learn.

I'd like to be added to the list, but since I'll be moving during the next couple months I can't give it the proper attention until at least February if I'm to finish with it in a reasonable time frame, so if my name comes up in line before then, please have someone jump ahead of me in the queue.

great offer, i'd be more willing to participate, but i just received a few safe locks that i'm practicing on at the moment. otherwise i'd jump all over this, and let that be a message to others on this site, safe manipulation is an exciting new venture for the aspiring manipulator/smith. keep it going around. let's see some updates.

Re: So you want to manipulate a safe?

a safe lock manipulation course

Could someone tell us what course is being included with this "project".

I feel being in Canada its not advisable due to cost of SECURE SHIPPING and risk of loss to share by Canada Customs with Canadian users but I could be wrong.

Maybe if its not too expensive we can start a kit or two for Canadians

Re: So you want to manipulate a safe?

I have started a list under the original post to track the project. Abroxis, the idea for a Canadian version is a good one. I will keep my eyes open for another set of course materials. I just traded my last lock, but I may be able to scratch together one from parts. We'll see how it goes!

Would it be possible to get in on it? I can send you a PM if you'd rather.

This package has been on the road for nearly 8 months.

I'm not in a rush... just curious as to how this is coming along.

Re: So you want to manipulate a safe?

I still have the lesson, have read some of the material. Still haven't had the book and the locks together at the same time.

It took quite a while for me to get the pass a round, and now i'm holding it up too.

As some of you know it's been a bitch of a time for me lately, but still want to get something from the lesson. SORRY

Next in line please pm me, that might get me off my ass.
