Came across a collection of videos from Deviant Ollam and he has an interesting video from some one on NDE Safe Cracking

There maybe some other videos of interest so here's a link to the main page.

I was watching this again. Particularly interesting was about 11:15 into the video:

He talks of how & why time locks became popular (especially with the government).
He goes on to talk about why the government stopped using them... Pearl Harbor.

They still wanted a manipulation proof lock... but without the downsides of the time lock.
The result was an awesome specimen of a lock.... the Sargent & Greenleaf 8400!

I have one of these, but have not mounted it yet. It strikes me as a VERY intense lock. It's beautiful.
Are these truly "manipulation proof"? From everything I've seen/read... this seems to be the case.
