I manipulated this open today and found this. As sticky as this was I’m shocked the flys did there thing. I suspect the countdown to complete chaos and malfunction was ticking.

Remember the right lube in the correct places and quantity is important!

I got once a 6730 with dial from ebay. The interior space of the dial was completely filled with solidified grease. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it before cleaning.
