Just joined here, I normally stick to the lock picking world, and less the safe side of things (unless it's firmware tampering). Had a question if someone might help me ID a lock.

A friend's Dad passed away and we need into the safe for his will, but don't have the combination. We'll be drilling it this weekend, aside from it being extra thick metal and so time consuming, I have no worries doing the drill and scope.

I'm curious if anyone can help me ID this dial lock. I'm not worried about drilling it, but as someone who loves to play with locks, I'm curious if I can get help IDing the dial. It's not the Yale I expected to see, but the end cap design was used on some Yale/SG of the period (which this may not be original lock). If it weren't a 3 hour drive, I would go do it sooner to satisfy curiosity

What I know:
1900-1940 Diebold Safe sold by Noyes Safe and Lock Co
Too heavy in it's built in spot for us to move when we out there last time...
