Sentry R3786 combo change?

Hi. I'm new here. I have an old Sentry, about 1 cubic foot capacity, stamped R3786 upside down on the lower front face. I have the combination and have it open. 3 numbers. I want to change the combination. Where can I go to learn how to do this?
I am not quite all thumbs and familiar with most tools [righty-tighty-lefty-loosey etc.] :hammering:
It is too old for the Sentry Co. to have any information about this safe, so presently I know nothing about it.
I have the cover off the inside of the door and see a simple latch that slides into a slot in 3 stacked wheels retained by a captive type nut. The topmost or closest wheel has 12 holes with a screw in one of them.
I cannot see what is going on below this wheel and don't want to mess up and make this safe become scrap iron. :spinning: Lin.

Sounds similar to a sentry I had awhile back.

Looks about the same inside. I have a screw in the hole in the wheel instead of the pin arm from the center bolt.
So the wheels are numbered 3,2,1, with #3 being the nearest to me when I take the cover off?
I'm beginning to think about how much it would cost to hire a pro. I have a particular desired combination in mind so I can remember it, not just any set of numbers.
I haven't yet learned how to post pix here.. :???: :slam:

Click down below the button "Post Reply". Then you do have the full posting options. A bit below the text field is a tab "Upload Attachment". You can upload there photos.

Waiting to see the pictures. Most likely you will be selecting a predetermined combination, based on where you decide to place the screw.
Try moving the screw.
Dialing the new combination and then move the screw another hole and repeat. Track how moving the screw affects the combination.

****Do All combination changes with the door OPEN!*****
Test, verify and write down your new combination before closing the door.
