This combination lock just controlled keyway shutters that blocked off the keyways so keys or explosives could not be introduced to the keylocks until this had been unlocked. Most often seen on the Chatwood Diamond quality safes.

This one is on ebay for about 24,000 pounds, but is a later diamond by the look of it and doesn't have the composite / fan lever keylock on it.

That is one great looking safe. The inside of the door is again like art to me thanks for helping me add to my database...
