A few cutaway locks!

Not homebrew tools i guess but homemade cutaways should still qualify, right??

This is the first one we made:

Made this next, really easy to make...

The final version of the padlock cutaway:

The padlocks are Lockwood 334B45's, the other is an Abus padlock core.

Re: A few cutaway locks!

Looks very cool! I have a Lockwood just like this it would be cool to have a cutaway of one of these. I just don't have the skills needed to do it!

Very nice cutaways! The only one I've ever tried to make was a miserable failure to say the least!

Just looking at that again and the inners of that lock is near on identical to the yale y90s padlock. Very Very similar indeed.

Now that is a nice piece of work brv – mmm, sexy.

I’m with the lockpickkid on this one.
I’ve tried cutting away two locks now and messed them both up.
A dermal just doesn’t cut the mustard!

Nice to have another hands on guy in the forum.

Re: A few cutaway locks!

Thanks guys!

We have the locks on ebay at the moment, plan to pump out quite a few including all sorts of high security locks!

We use a decent sized milling machine:

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest cutting mustard with a dremel... it'll just fly everywhere! LOL

You can get an accessory for a dremel that turns in into a mini drill press... That might be able to do the trick for a nice looking cutaway, albeit slowly. I want to get one if not just for making holes in my picks to do some laminated handles. Well, that and for other things too, but you get the point.

Good fun when ya aim it at the cats bum - watch them goo....

I'll have a look for a dermel mini press type thing, could do with something like that too - very handy.
