Interesting DOM driver pins

Very curious on how you would approach these. Very difficult to detect the sheer line. Drivers 3 and 4 are the strange ones. Cleaning the gunk out of the lick it's killing the feedback...

Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
I would think you can use the same technique as with normal spool pins. But I believe you will not get a very deep false set , due to the smaller possible openingn in the pin. It's very likely you'll have to set these pins several times , each time going trough a false set , on each segment of the pin.
That is just what i think from looking at the pins. I've never played with these.

Exactly right on the small false set. Strange feedback on them, you get the slight clicks from them, and they cling on the sheer line.
Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
Very nice find mate. I only seen/heard about these pins once before and those had 1 segment not several.
Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Cling on the sheer line? That's odd. I would not think that would happen from the design of the pin. Is there some milling on the core to catch the edges?

Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
Not that I seen. That's a good idea for this beast though. When I send those kabas this one might get snuck in there.
Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
Wow, that would be awesome! When you are getting ready to send, we will talk about what I can put in a care package for you.
Judging from the key, it looks like a pretty nasty keyway as well. Should be an interesting pick.
PS- Thanks for making the connection between your name here and on YT...

Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
I agree. It's not as bad as I thought it would've been from looking at the key.

Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
I am not sure I understand what I am seeing. Is that a spool pin that comes apart?
Very interesting! I have never heard about these. Do they have a name?

Let's make up a name. My vote is for "ringed spool"... But a close second place is "married spool" (because it's got a ring on it).

Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
Hehe I'm liking this. Since they have many rings can they be polygamist spools lol! They give a headache like having many wives complain about lock purchases all at once lol!!
Re: Interesting DOM driver pins
Well, look what I found in my pinning tray this evening... From a Dom ix. What a coincidence!
