Thanks OF for many hours of Fun????

lol... Yes we are sick, and yes, that's what we call "fun". lol
Glad you've gotten so much enjoyment out those couple locks.
That's one of the many things I love about this hobby; we get so
much return (enjoyment) on a small investment. Lot's of fun.

Congrats on the Medeco. Even knowing it inside and out... if you're
able to pop it, that's still quite a step in the right direction. I myself
could definitely spend some more time with Bests and Medecos.

Amen to that! I view $ spent vs entertainment time. Picking is very rewarding in that aspect. Still trying to wrap my head around the awesomeness of SFIC. Ill be sinking huge amounts of time into it!

3 challenge locks. Texas Jim Schlage on left, and the other 2 from 007. No keys. Very fun picks!!

Re: What have you picked today

Just back from Turkey, a neighbour out there gave me this Yale 6 pin rim lock. It took me over a day to rake it open using Neilau’s bagota style rake, I eventually got it down to a few minutes and opened it many times. I did not manage to SPP it so far so thats a challenge.
Sometimes it just opened and a few times turned a few degrees and I had to find the pin to just touch and it then opened, so I assume it has a security pin in it.

As an aside on the way back due to wife buying something out there we had to swap some hold luggage for cabin, 3 times I got my cabin bag opened by security at the scanners. The first time for the lock, the second time for some bacterial cream 6 x over 100 ml tubes (they let me keep it), and the third time for my elec shaver.

The strange thing is due to the switch of baggage I had my lock picks in the cabin luggage and not once did they pick up on that....so much for security.

Re: What have you picked today

Managed this Yale padlock which was gratefully sent to me by Nozza36 along with a pick and some metal material for making picks.

I managed to `rock` it open with the back of his pick a few times on the day I received it but was intimidated by the size and weight of it at approx ½ kilo, so not thinking I would manage to SPP it especially being a 6 pin, anyhow well pleased as I managed to SPP today.....Happy days.

After several failed attempts - about 6 minutes I reckon. There is a definite technique to picking them. I now have the lock decoded and would like to get a key cut for it.

The Abloy payphone camlocks are interesting, they use thinner discs than I have seen before.
