Great stuff gents. Jeff I think I seen that lot and thought to bid which makes me think every time I bid on a lot that contains WB lock or locks, I am bidding against you lol.
Picked this lock which gave me a bit of trouble at first but it turned out the plug was pretty dirty and had to be forced a bit to turn. Still doesnt turn enough to open the shackle but I dont want to bend the brass and force it any more. Ill get some lube in there tonight and give it a try. Picture came out very nice.

Gleb, it's possible that's as far as the plug will rotate.
Could be the shackle is seized up more than you think.
....maybe.

No they do not. Just really good tolerances.

Schlage Everest.
I have had trouble with this lock for awhile.
Finally, I can sleep at night.
Seems all the WB padlocks I run into are all keyed the same and owned by the local power company.
Think they must have bought a million of them, see them everywhere.

Do the WBs have a logo/company name on them? If so I would be interested in one!

WB logo only.
I don't keep them as I do believe that they are the power company's. I tend to run across them on utility Rooms and chains around gate into rural properties.

An Aarpaz donation. Thanks.
Love them or hate them Master makes some nice padlock bodies. Maybe I can "Americanize" this core.

Another Aarpaz donation.
The first WB of many I hope. I wonder how resistant a WB brass body is to an angle grinder. Only one way to find out...

Re: What have you picked today
RE grinding brass, The wilson bohannan might be bronze also
bronze and brass are usually machined with sharp steel blades.
bronze is much harder than brass.
when aluminum is put on a grinding wheel, it heats up to its melting point around 1100 Fahrenheit, and then fuses to the grindstone causing it to fill up and be ruined as a grinding tool.
I don't know what might happen with brass, it might also fill the wheel and make it ineffective, bronze I would expect to be a bit more grindable. let us know your results if you try it
