Home made safe "spikemaster" device 30$
The heart of the kit is a clean field worthy 9v bipolar power source and a built in audio/visual continuity tester a 9v battery tests circuits and supplies power to the "probes"
inside the box
a simple wiring test
success!
literally everything pictured was well under 15$ in parts from my local surplus electronics store
Project part 2A the "probes"
The probes garb the wire, cut the wire and create an eletrical contact. When power is applied to the right spot your TL 30 safe opens with a simple flick of the switch.
2, 12" long pieces of 100% copper tube about 3/16" outside diameter, I cut a "funnel" at the tip leaving a sharp edge this is necessary to the cut the plastic shielding of the wire properly. 1.10$ each at the hardware store
the "hooks" are simple .015" diameter spring steel wire or "piano wire" the shape hooks the wire and pulls it into the sharp edge of the copper tubes
as I'm posting this I"m waiting for the glue to dry but 2 .5 cent nuts are going to be the spring stops for the probes. They are press fit and then super glued with a few layers like I said they are currently drying.
