My coworker was talking about using a tube to hold precut keys and a light went on in my head.

He gave me a plastic wallet insert a few days ago and it dawned on me to use it to hold a precut key and it's corresponding bottom pins. Sort of like a wallet filing cabinet for precut keys.



Another idea came to me when we were discussing ways to insert car opening tools inside the door without messing up the weather stripping. I told him I used my library card in a friends car and lost it inside the door cavity. This also gave me the idea to use a Vertical ID Holder as an 'Auto Sleeve'. I just cut a opening on the plastic ID holder and slip it over the car opening tool.

That would definitely be an awesome way to make sure you don't lose pins away from the comfort of your pinning set. I think I actually have something like that in my wallet if I remember correctly.... I think the only problem would be the size of my wallet after stuffing a few keys into it. It's already too large as it is

For car doors, I use a sheet of plastic cut from a windshield washer fluid bottle and wooden wedge.

Part of a milk jug works for me. Fold the cut part in half, cut a small semi-circle in the middle of the fold for the tool to fit through, and use a lighter to slightly melt/round off the edges of all cuts so they don't cut the weatherstripping.
