I've always enjoyed this thread. Thought it'd be nice to maybe revive it with some add-ons.
Flew to California to attend a wedding. Here's the motels pop... uh, I mean, 'soda' machine. lol

Two pucks. One on top, one on the side. I'm not really familiar with the brand...
but it was nice to see it was a disc-detainer lock rather than a pin-tumbler.
That, and I've seen a lot of discussion on picking disc-detainers lately.








And on a sidenote; I couldn't help but laugh at the pool side gate...

What is scary is that there must have been an issue with this for them to put up the sign. And it has happened enough times that there are signs made for the issue. Somebody put the 'poo' in pool.

Recently in this thread, rzr800 had posted a Master No 34 he had made a key for.
It reminded me that I had a similar hitch lock. So I dug it out, and found it to be a No33.
And now, I've seen a No 36 recently. Hmmm... wonder just how many there are of these.

I wonder what exactly is inside that container with the multiple radiation warnings on it.

Even more, I wonder if they expect that lock to provide some actual security or if it's more of a tamper resistant seal to keep it from being accidentally opened. Because as we well know here, those locks are very pickable, and if its one of the ones with only three discs in it, there aren't much more than a couple dozen keys someone would have to try out to get it open.

there's this one lock that you should take a picture of at a movie theater near me. The interesting thing isn't the lock but the door it's on, it on the side wall of the building 2 stories up with nothing else near it........A blank wall with a door randomly there in the air that would be fun to try to get to

If i was a guessing man i would say that is for ease of access to the projection booth, in the event they need to replace a projector or get larger equipment into the booth.

I worked at a theater when i was younger and we had a "DOOR OF DEATH" as we called it there for this very reason.

Okay so I guess it's not reeeeally a lock, but there once was a IC on the back of this (delivery?) van at a wreckers I was at earlier today, honing my thru-the-door car opening techniques.
Never seen anything like it on a work vehicle so I figured it is worth sharing.

We have an armored car company we just converted from sfic to Mul T Lock removable cores. I see those on Fed Ex and UPS trucks as well.
