Jeff finally makes picks!

I borrowed this idea from Bosnianbill's videos on youtube. Make picks out of wiper blade inserts that go into a handle, and can easily be swapped out for a different style pick, or if you break one. So far, I have three double ended handles, one single ended handle, and 2 picks. I have two picks from Nozza that I cut down to 2" and will thin out so they can fit in the handles as well.

The result is here:
femurat: They're called restricted for a reason...
Innerpicked: The more keys you carry, the more important you look
GWiens2001: Great video! Learned a lot about what fun can be had with a forklift and a chainsaw.
pmaxey83: but i first have to submit the proper forms for a new hobby to my wife

Something like that has been on my list of stuff to try for awhile now, just never got to it. Looks good man, how much do you want for a set?

Oh, I have some sweeper bristles you can have too if you want to save some inserts.

Re: Jeff finally makes picks!

Cool. I think you could sell those. I'd be interested in one of the handles. They look like the feedback would be really good.

My only suggestion is to add one more set screw to each end so that there is no fullcrum point where the single set-screw meets the tang of the pick. This would keep the pick tight and improve the feedback by adding another tight contact point.

Re: Jeff finally makes picks!

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I have to make some more tips this week so I will post a video.
I did not plan on making these for sale, I only bought enough material to make a few handles, but we shall see!

Jeff, those handles are spiffy! I totally dig that. I also agree with the sentiment of some others that you could sell those handles!
