The good the bad and the ugly

These are the first picks I tried to make after the ones that I made out of a nail and a bike spoke those where the truly ugly.

Street sweeper blades and clay handels and no idea what I was doing but I loves me some grinder.

I'm so proud of them Giants swept their way in to first place

Almost as proud as I am of my little lock conquest

Now I'm useing sawsall blades or broken hacksaw blades .
With rigid plastic tubing for the handles. I fix the pick in the handle with quick steel
I like these they work and I haven't mangled any to bad trying to pick

Re: evolution home made picks

I think you forgot to insert your attachments...

Spartapicks wrote:I'm new to this about a month. The first four are the survivors from the first batch. They where way to thin . Then two more with my interpretation of a rake not very strong but it works. Then the last two withthe white handles are my latest. Im getting better at picking. I only have these three locks but I can open all of them. I have been out of work for over a year so I am totally broke. If anyone has any locks that are no fun for them to pick at any more they would be greatly appreciated over here. Perhaps after some more evolution I may produce some picks that I can trade

Re: evolution home made picks. technical problems no images

You can upload your photos to one of the free photo hosting sites and then just include links to them in your post. The forum software will resolve the links and display the referenced photos if you use the 'Img' tags.

Here is a nice tutorial that Aedalas just made. Look it over and see if it helps.
