I did a quick search online and found lockcodes.com as a mobile alternative to buying Codesource, Genericode or other code software that is installed on your PC. Is that what you're talking about? If so, I've been a bit curious about it myself.

On lockcodes.com they have the section called 'Codes on line' subscription based, right next to it is a demo/trial of it. Hope that helps some, as for the accuracy or completeness of it, no idea.

I've never used any code software, but if I needed it I would try codes express from the locksmith ledger.

Codes express with The Locksmith Ledger is not that good. I don't know about Codes Online if you are talking about the Blackhawk website. It seems quite a few locksmiths use it and seem pretty happy with it.

I use Instacode and couldn't live without it now. I don't know what your pricing range is but I believe they offer it in a web only format now for an annual subscription. Mike Hyde's website sells the program for the U.S.

I use the SFIC pinning charts online. I know other locksmiths use the codes and like it. I've never used the codes myself.

I've used it. It's looks very simple, almost looks like the whole program was a freeware or something. But it's pretty accurate. The locksmith who introduced me to it said it's much more reliable than Code Source.

Codesource is good ....been a while since I used it, a useful feature allowed you input partial cuts and it would come up with the possibility’s from the data base. Very handy if you do automotive work.
Another feature that I found handy: The ability to print a series of codes, nice if you are doing desk/ file cabs on a regular basis ,saves dragging the laptop to the work area. Don't quote me on this, I think Codesource ( license) is allowed on up to 5 machines.

The thing I would say about Codesource is it is only updated 1 time a year. This can be a problem
if you are doing automotive. As codes/ keys can change mid year. There is also the initial start up expense apx. $700 IIRC.

Codes on line is updated regularly and has the “ fill” option available. Start-up cost is apx. $75
It can be accessed by anyone with a password. I don't think you can print a series of codes.

Our shop has Codesource (Because it's compatable with our Code Max; I also have a personal subscription to Codes Express. I have been able to supply the shop an alternate (or even unpublished) code, when the Codesource hasn't yeilded a workable code.

The only problem I have with these two code programs is that they don't allow a look at the whole series at once, as I can do with the ole' reliable printed books!

Old post… sorry for bringing it back up, but does anyone use http://www.lockcodes.com ?? it's 59$ per year. the demo seems to have the few codes i've searched for. I'm thinking about biting the bullet and subscribing. can't find any reviews online. I checked out locksmith ledger's service (which is a bit cheaper) but i don't really like their format. let me know your thoughts if you use it. THANKS!

My best friend uses it. He says it had never missed any thing the other programs didn't miss either. I know you can print HPC1200 cards from the website also, as well as automotive progressioning.
