Combination lock made from coins.

this was brought up on another forum... i figured id post the article here (as it took some time to find the actual magazine)

Coin Combination Lock.pdf


it says it only cost 2.26 but he did not mention the rest of the hardware... i bet its still around 15-20 if you went to the home depot and bought all that stuff...

any other commets?!?

Too bad there isn't instructions on how to make, or sizes.

plus the time taken to build it, its a cool piece though. it looks easy to manipulate too

Actually that's wrong. It's only illegal to deface or mutilate American coinage if you intend on using it in a fraudulent manner. Or if you are trying to salvage the base metals from the coin, it is illegal. Using coins and such for art purposes is completely legal.

think about the squihed pennies they sell for 76 cents at zoos or rainforest cafes...

just use old coins ya get from the 2nd hand shop lol
