Finally found my dremel attachments!

My friend decided to buy a couple of lock picks today and i told her i'd send her a tension wrench. Since i finally found my dremel attachments last night and i have a lot of wiper inserts laying around i decided to bash out a backup pick for her aswell, and here's the results....

I experimented with a few cutting wheels and used a small handfile. i finished it with 600, 800, and 1200 sandpaper, then used Brasso with the dremel for a final polish. then added a little heatshrink for grip in the middle.

I picked an American 1100 and SKS Active just to make sure it was functional. It's a little hard to hold cos it's so narrow and it's a little too flexible for my liking, but all in all i'm happy with it. I look forward to making more soon.

I think it will be a nice addition to the two SouthOrd picks my friend bought.
I'm really going to have to make myself a set like these.

Re: Finally found my dremel attachments!

Pretty damn good work for "quick" picks man, I just got a new set of EZ-Lock Thin Cutoff disks for my dremel from ebay, and my pick metal and aluminum, so tomorrow night I'm going to try to knock some new ones out.

See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

Cool let me know how that goes, i was looking at those EZ-Lock disks last but decided not to buy them cos i had plenty of the regular emery disks.

Re: Finally found my dremel attachments!

I recently bought a tungsten carbide bit for my dremel that looks almost like a milling bit. Works wonders for carving shapes out of sheet metal or thin bits of windshield wiper inserts too. :D

Re: Finally found my dremel attachments!

Can you link to that? I was looking at some carbide bits but it said they were for wood and ceramics, not metal...didn't want to risk the 10 bucks or whatever it was on ebay.
