Not quite a Ratyke...more of a tribute to the master. After seeing his "how i make my picks" thread i could'nt resist giving it a go!

Now i'm no artist and have certainly not tryied anything like this befor but still off i went to my kitchen table/work bench with my new vice and a dremel and this is what i ended up with;

I encountered endless problems with this build and was learning new skills as i went but i'm confident with some better tools and more practice i'll be on my way to some impressive picks like the man himself!

The handles are affixed by 3 countersunk aluminuim rivits, I used these because i made a slight mistake with my hole drilling and these rivets would not be seen but in future i'll be using small chrome plated Hex head sex bolts or chicargo bolts.

The weight of this pick is about 20 grams but that was on an analog set of scales wont know for sure untill I pick up my digital scales from work and the pick balences about 1/4 of the way up from the rear of the handle witch is great you can hold it lightly and it just rest in the crook of your hand, its so light you hardy notice any weight or balance issues its really nice to use.

Still, a mighty fine lookin' pick ya made there! Making nice looking handles is my downfall when it comes to pickmaking. I can make great picks that work fantastic, and handles that give good feedback and are comfortable, but they are ugly as sin!

i bought this set recently and although it takes longer you can get alot more percision than you get with a dremel.
