Yet almost the entire illegal drug trade could be destroyed if someone in government has the guts to make it legal. The big companies would get involved in production, supply and administration, pay lots of tax in the process and wipe out this type of vermin in short order .......

Only "honest" drug users/addicts/companies would pay taxes.

The welfare daddies/queens and illegal immigrants would demand that the gov't provide them with low cost - or preferably free drugs - as part of their monthly gov't "entitlement" stipend. People don't understand that drug use is a basic human right - and thus can't be restricted by the imperialist/capitalist/socialist (pick one) US gov't?
