1950 Chevy and 1963 caddi
First customer called and said he needed a trunk key for his 1963 cadillac. Well up to 1966 caddi's used the b-11 or b-10 key blank. (difference between the two is one has different head. SAME keyway. B-10 is ign. and b-11 trunk). Ignition and doors were usually keyed the same and trunk and glove keyed the same. After 1966 they went to the normal looking 6 cut keys. Door was open so went straight to glove box. Didnt see code on lock. Glove box has 4 of the 6 needed cuts. on the back of the glove lock there are two little holes. one is the locks retainer hole. stick a paper clip in the right one and the lock comes out with a little help. You can file a blank down till the wafers are even or eyeball and decode and cut key on code mahine. only take a few minutes. Next take the blank with the first four cuts and progress cuts . This make take up to 3 blank keys. After two progressions key turned and that was done...Oh by the way this was owner of tattoo parlor. Free TATTOOS.
Next was for 1950 chevy trunk. No key. Found code on lock but had to use two magnifying glasses to see.. was still a guess. code worked but key was sticky and hung up a little. Cut another key shallow then impressions down. Works great will post pic of lock and key.
